Joe Yurick, a franchisee of JDog Junk Removal & Hauling, said he was drawn to the brand by the community of veterans that had built up around it. The chief executive officer and founder, Jerry Flanagan, is an Army veteran and the company only offers franchises to veterans and their families.

In 2011, Jerry Flanagan started a small junk removal business in Pennsylvania. Having filed for bankruptcy with his last business, Flanagan got into junk removal simply as a way to make cash and put food on the table. Today, JDog has expanded into carpet cleaning and floor care with over 250 franchises nationwide.

Ellen and Mustafa Browne own and operate their own franchise in New Kent County called JDog Carpet Cleaning and Floor Care, a franchise that provides business opportunities to veterans and military families.
